The standard AR-15 chambered in 5.56 NATO is truly America�s rifle and is a symbol of American ingenuity and freedom. Although the 5.56 NATO has proven itself in the jungles of Vietnam and deserts of Iraq, some gun owners wanted more performance out of their AR.

Today, the Supreme Court issued the "clean-up" order list. The Court GVR'd eight cases in light of Rahimi. One of them was Garland v. Range. Here, the en banc Third Circuit held that a person who committed a non-violent felony (food stamp fraud) could not be subject to a complete ban on owning a firearm.

At least 35 people have been shot, four fatally, in gun violence across Chicago so far this weekend, police said. Chicago police are investigating a shooting that injured two men on Chicago's West Side.

The Pentagon signaled on Tuesday that the Biden Administration was on the cusp of a major new arms distribution to Ukraine as the President flounders domestically. Pentagon Press Secretary Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder spoke to reporters on July 2 on topics including an upcoming $2.3 billion security assistance package for Ukraine that "will be a combination of Presidential drawdown authority and Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative funding."

Much of the coverage of the U.S. Supreme Court�s recent decision to overturn the Chevron Deference doctrine suffers from one of two problems: Either it�s written by lawyers for lawyers and is therefore unintelligible for anyone without a juris doctor, or it�s written by the corporate media and is chock-full of errors, omissions and untruths.

IL: A heated altercation at 31st Street Beach late Saturday night resulted in a 17-year-old girl being shot by a 26-year-old concealed carry holder. The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. in the 3000 block of South Fort Dearborn Drive, on Chicago�s South Side.

Supreme Court Associate Justice Clarence Thomas showed his hand on Tuesday on the issue of whether AR-15-style rifles are legal. His Second Amendment analysis: They are. In a brief dissent related to an Illinois ban on the �assault weapon,� Thomas said that the overwhelming popularity of the firearm, coupled with its non-military operation, makes it a clear fit under the Second Amendment.

The Supreme Court has decided against providing further guidance on the Second Amendment�at least for now. The High Court released its final orders list for the term on Tuesday. It featured the Justices� decision to grant, vacate, and remand (GVR) seven cases dealing with laws prohibiting specific people from having guns back to the lower courts for new decisions. They also vacated and remanded a case dealing with New York�s concealed carry restrictions and denied a request to review a collection of cases on Illinois� ban on the sale of AR-15s and other popular firearms.

The Second Amendment Foundation (SAF), along with several other gun rights groups and individual plaintiffs, has filed a lawsuit in San Diego County Superior Court challenging California�s recently implemented 11% tax on firearms, gun parts, and ammunition. The lawsuit, named James v. Maduros, targets Nicolas Maduros, director of the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration.

The pro-Second Amendment group Gun Owners of America (GOA), along with its sister organization the Gun Owners Foundation, filed suit against New Jersey�s Attorney General Matthew Platkin, challenging him to defend the latest attack on Second Amendment rights in the Garden State.
