Iowas new law that allows people to more easily buy handguns and carry them in public without training or a permit went into effect July 1 as gun deaths have been increasing in the state.

With the new law, people purchasing pistols or revolvers no longer need to obtain permits to acquire or carry handguns, a process that could take days for a background check to complete.

Attorney Clint Broden says the lead detective investigating the murder case was denied the option to share information proving Perrys claim of self-defense with the Grand Jury.

The Grand Jury was, in fact, a very one-sided process. Even worse than a lot of cases, Broden said.

Broden filed a motion requesting an evidentiary hearing. He says Travis County District Attorney Jos Garza made two false claims at the beginning of this month, when the indictment decision was made.

A crime wave is gripping American cities, and the Left, in the wake of a ruinous series of radical criminal-justice reforms, needs scapegoats.

As Kevin Williamson has explained, much of this can be traced back to ridiculous city ordinances, such as the abolition of cash bail in some major cities. But, glossing over such decisions, major news outlets and politicians have instead taken to describing the problem as an issue of gun violence. Theres a reason for this: So long as they maintain this account, the Left can avoid responsibility even with their policy fingerprints all over the crime scenes.

A California judge decided victims of the 2019 synagogue shooting near San Diego that killed one worshiper and wounded three can sue the manufacturer of the semiautomatic rifle and the gun shop that sold it to the teenage gunman, according to a newspaper report.

Superior Court Judge Kenneth Medel said Wednesday that victims and families in the Poway, California, synagogue shooting have adequately alleged that Smith & Wesson, the nation's largest gunmaker, knew its AR-15-style rifle could be easily modified into a machine-gun-like or an assault weapon in violation of state law.

...a spokesperson said, Senator Manchin is a gun owner and avid sportsman. As such, he has always been a strong supporter of the 2nd amendment. He is currently reviewing the qualifications of Mr. Chipman to serve as ATF Director, just as he considers every nominee who comes to a vote in the Senate.

The NRA is trying to help Manchin make up his mind by bringing pressure to bear. Fox News reported recently, The NRA will run a $250,000 ad buy in the traditional red state (of West Virginia) in an attempt to convince West Virginians to call Sen. Joe Manchin and tell him to vote no on David Chipman for head of the Department of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF).

Independent product reviews have long been a big part of helping consumers find quality products, and those looking for gun safes can rely on the Gun Safe Review for honest information.

While having a large number of competing brands in any given market is often a win for consumers, this situation creates certain challenges. Chief among them is that a large number of products available makes it hard for uninformed consumers to figure out which product is best for them.

In the late 1700s the southern states had a lot of political clout due to their great economy on the backs of slaves. They refused to ratify the Bill of Rights unless the Second Amendment was adopted.

Why? If we were taught the truth behind this amendment, wed know that its purpose was for all white men, from the ages of 18 to 45, to have a gun in order to protect them from all non whites (Blacks and American Indians), from slavery rebellions, and to round up escaped slaves.
These well regulated militias were not well organized or under any specific rules or guidance.

This past April, Gov. Doug Ducey signed a law declaring Arizona a Second Amendment sanctuary state the law prevents the state of Arizona, its counties and municipalities from enforcing any federal gun laws that supersede those of the states. Ducey said the bill was a proactive law for what is possible to come out of the Biden administration."

On June 22, the Tucson City Council passed a unanimous resolution that "federal laws or regulations that regulate firearms will have full effect within the city essentially saying the city of Tucson will not ignore federal firearms laws as per the states Second Amendment Firearm Freedom Act.

Its been one week since a new Indiana law made it free for Hoosiers to apply for lifetime gun permits. The response overwhelmed the Indiana State Police Department.

On July 1, the Indiana State Police firearms licensing website experienced a high number of applicants that stopped many in their tracks as they attempted to apply for a lifetime gun permit. On that first day, more than seven thousand Hoosiers applied for the licenses.
