Cheaper Than Dirt just so happens to have these guns! Read on to see what's new.

There are one set of laws for the rich and famous, and another set of laws for the poor and anonymous. That is particularly true in Atlantic County, New Jersey. The prosecutor allowed a violent multi-millionaire to clear his record but prosecuted a single mom working two jobs.. because she owned a gun.

Thanks to a Freedom of Information Act Lawsuit pursued against the Department of Justice by government watchdog Judicial Watch, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia has ruled documents being withheld from Congress under President Obama's claim of executive privilege must be turned over. Obama made the claim on the same day Attorney General Eric Holder was voted in criminal and civil contempt of Congress in June 2012.
"This order forces the Obama DOJ, for the first time, to provide a detailed listing of all documents that it has withheld from Congress and the American people for years about the deadly Fast and Furious gun running scandal," Judicial Watch released in a statement.

Brooklyn prosecutors have identified 14 additional cases handled by a now-tainted detective, expanding their unprecedented convictions review, the boroughs top lawman said Tuesday.
The new discovery put the number of re-examined cases tied to retired detective Louis Scarcella at 71, district attorney Kenneth Thompson told the Daily News Editorial Board.
They comprise the majority of over 100 cases being looked at by a Conviction Review Unit, which has already cleared seven wrongfully convicted murder defendants this year, four of whom were brought down by Scarcella.

A South Lincoln restaurant gave dozens of gun owners the chance to exercise their right to open-carry a hand gun while grabbing a bite to eat.

It's all part of a group called Nebraska Open Carry. Their goal is to make it easier to carry weapons in Nebraska.

They say guns and gun owners have a bad reputation nationally and they're working to improve those perceptions locally. They hope being out in the public eye shows others that gun owners aren't a threat.

THE BOSTON GLOBE reported this morning that compromise legislative language on the discretionary issuance of Firearms Identification Cards (FIDs) probably has enough votes to make it into Massachusetts law.

It gives police departments the ability to petition a district court to revoke a citizens firearms license. Under the compromise language, the Globe reports, that a court would have to base such a decision on reliable, articulable, and credible information that suggests one could potentially create a risk to public safety.

The NRA, which in its response to the compromise language sees no difference between a judges discretion and the police chiefs discretion, has called for its local members to oppose the bill.

But most of the felons who attempt to purchase guns from him have received deferred sentences and their convictions have been quashed, Ochsner explained.

This ruling wouldnt affect those people because their felony conviction wouldnt appear on their record, but Ochsner is concerned about people who have been convicted of nonviolent felonies.

What would the felony be? he asked. If its a felony DUI, should that person be a restricted person because they are driving drunk?

I know the law and until its overturned, I am not going to sell them a gun, he added.

Gunrights advocates, including most of Colorado's sheriffs, are renewing their fight against the state's two new gun-control laws.

They filed a court notice Monday stating they are appealing a judge's decision that the laws comply with the U.S. Constitution.

One law bans firearms magazines, acquired after July 1, 2013, of more than 15 rounds. The other expands background checks to include transfer of guns from one person to another.

Police say two men driving through the city in two different cars had a confrontation there. They said one man shot the other in the chest, killing him.

The shooter -- who has a concealed handgun license -- called 911 to report the incident.

Police released the shooter after questioning him Thursday morning and no charges have been filed. They say it appears the shooter acted in self-defense.

Long after these images are shown, I suspect that Dr. Steinmetz will be found not guilty. His arrest will have been just another attempt by the establishment to suppress the first and second amendments.

Update:

The good doctor did not have to wait so very long after all. He was represented by Marc Victor. From Alan Korwin just minutes ago, quoting Dr. Steinmetz:

No charges have been filed and my two hearings have been vacated.

Now the question will be: How does Doctor Steinmetz get his good name back?

Michael Bloomberg's and Warren Buffett's Everytown for Gun Safety posted a series of YouTube videos in which an estranged husband smashes his way into a woman's house, seizes her child, and then points a gun at her head. The organization then tells its stakeholders that domestic abusers can buy guns over the Internet. When last I heard, it's illegal to buy a gun across state lines unless the transaction goes through a licensed gun dealer, who must perform a background check. Even if the transaction does not cross state lines, it is illegal to sell a firearm to somebody who is prohibited from owning one.

Judge Sidney Thomas, considered in 2010 by President Obama for a seat on the Supreme Court, issued a strongly worded dissent saying his colleagues went too far. "Carrying concealed weapons in public by definition does not inherently involve defense of hearth and home, so the core of the Second Amendment is not implicated."

Laxson's case is still pending before the Ninth Circuit as Harris has asked for a larger panel of judges to rehear arguments. A decision from the court on whether that happens hasn't been announced.

Ordinarily a County Sheriffs election wouldnt be notable for the larger state. In this case however, Id like to share what is going on in Milwaukee County because the Sheriffs race here has drastic implications for the entire state and country.

Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke rocked the boat here in SE Wisconsin and nationally when he issued public service announcements in 2013 that encouraged people to take responsibility for their own safety including training to use a firearm in self defense. His public service announcements went viral because while self-defense is only common sense, its extremely rare to get a Law Enforcement official to publicly advocate for the 2nd Amendment and citizens right to carry.

So you have taken a first step or intro to pistol class, you have been shooting at paper at the range for some time and you may be thinking whats next?

There arent many opportunities in this area to practice shooting from a holster or doing much more than standing in a port, but one outlet that is available to shooters of all skill levels, beginner through advanced, are matches run by the International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA).

IDPA is a shooting sport that was founded in 1996 and simulates self-defense and real life encounters.

A change in Oklahoma law allowing licensed, permit-holding gun owners to leave their weapons locked in cars on school property has split public opinion.

The issue was debated in Oklahomas 54th Legislature, where House Bill 2329 passed as the states most recent example of gun-related legislation.

Representative Sally Kern (R - Oklahoma City) authored the bill, which for the first time allows a person licensed according to the Oklahoma Self-Defense Act to keep a weapon locked in a vehicle on a school parking lot.

The psychiatrist who shot his patient in self-defense at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital on July 24 will see no immediate repercussions despite breaking hospital rules that prohibit firearms on its campus.

A statement released by the hospital said Dr. Lee Silverman will remain a full member of the Mercy Health System medical staff after shooting his patient, Richard Plotts, in his third floor office of the hospitals Sister Marie Lanahan Wellness Center.

We are praying for his speedy recovery and return to practice, said the statement, which also addressed reviewing security policies.

Michael Samuel Stokes allegedly shattered a window in the home, alerting the homeowner, who walked into the room to encounter shattered glass. The homeowner alerted her son, who grabbed his .45 ACP pistol and went outside to confront an approaching Stokes, who had gone to his car to collect a hammer.

Stokes then ran back to the car he was driving, and attempted to run over the armed son in his escape, prompting the son to fire several times in self-defense.

After a long fought battle, the Second Amendment Foundation has won its case in Palmer vs. District of Columbia!

The city will now be forced to allow residents from D.C and other states to conceal carry firearms within its boundaries!

Federal Judge Frederick J. Scullin, Jr ruled, there is no longer any basis on which this Court can conclude that the District of Columbias total ban on the public carrying of ready-to-use handguns outside the home is constitutional under any level of scrutiny.

Strict scrutiny is the most rigorous review. For a law to be upheld under strict scrutiny, it has to pass a three-part test: It must meet a compelling governmental interest, be narrowly tailored and be the least restrictive means of achieving that interest.

Our big concern about this amendment is the unanswered question of how Missouri gun laws could be affected by the change to strict scrutiny. We dont think that question has been adequately answered or explained for the public, and wed like to hear more on it.

Nor do we even see this amendment as being necessary to protecting the rights of Missourians. We still look to our nations Second Amendment to do that for us.
