Dont try to shoehorn Kel-Tecs PMR30 into any single pistol category. Many have tried before and found the exercise frustrating and fruitless. The polymer-framed semi-automatic is a hybrid of sorts, ideal for survival, adept in the outdoors, capable of stopping criminal attacks with its .22 WMR chambering and the 30-round magazine minimizes reloading when things are really getting fun at the range.
Where does it fit precisely? Well, probably not in the everyday concealed-carry category, although thats not its primary mission. Its a grin-inducing handgun that shoots comfortably, performs well with little recoil and comes with all the touches for a trusted companionjust in case. |

So, the rights to thought, speech, press, assembly, worship, self-defense, privacy, travel, property ownership, commercial activities and fair treatment from government are plainly articulated in or rationally inferred from the first eight amendments. The Ninth declares that the enumeration of rights in the first eight shall not mean that there are no other rights that are fundamental, and the government shall not disparage those other rights. The Tenth reflects that the states have reserved to themselves the powers that they did not delegate to the feds. |

After a historic year of homicides in the state of Wisconsin, state legislators are now proposing policies that are dangerous to youth, families, and our communities.
In 2019 alone, there was one firearm related death every 15 hours in the state of Wisconsin 一 amounting to more than 600 deaths. To make matters worse, violent crime continued to rise in 2021. Both urban and rural communities have been impacted; 70% of the firearm-related deaths were caused by suicide.
Despite the violence, Republican lawmakers are circulating legislation that aims to lower the age to conceal and carry a firearm to 18 and allow firearms to be locked in vehicles on school grounds. |

Most disturbing is that instead of passing regulations like UBC, ERPO and Reporting of Lost and Stolen Guns, the legislature has tried to rush through two insane bills. One HB 659 would allow permitless carry of firearms in public and the other HB 979 would make it easier for out-of-state pro-gun groups to sue local governments that try to stop gun violence in their communities, forcing taxpayers to pay the legal bills. |

Yesterday, Governor Chris Sununu vetoed two pro-gun measures, Senate Bill 141 and House Bill 334.
Senate Bill 141: Sought to resolve New Hampshires longstanding problem with delays during handgun purchases, by abolishing the state gun line system that the State Police currently use for handgun purchases. Instead, the process for purchasing a handgun would mirror buying a long gun, which goes through the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS). This switch in the process would not only reduce taxpayer burdens, it would have greatly reduced the number of delays experienced by those attempting to exercise their Second Amendment rights by purchasing a handgun. |

The Wake County Sheriffs Office will have to pay the plaintiffs in the case over delayed pistol permit purchases brought last year, according to one of the plaintiffs in the case.
In March of this year, federal Judge Louise Flanagan on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina ruled that Grassroots North Carolina and the Second Amendment Foundation could seek damages in the case of Stafford v. Baker.
The two groups, along with the Firearms Policy Coalition, filed suit against Wake County Sheriff Gerald Baker in April of 2020 after Bakers office announced that his office was suspending pistol purchase permits through April 30. |

The State of New Mexico will no longer allow gun shows at state-run facilities. The New Mexico Gun Collectors Association, which had been holding shows at EXPO New Mexico at the State Fairgrounds in Albuquerque for more than 40 years, was given verbal notice that their October show has been cancelled for that reason. Rocky Mountain Gun Shows has been told that their November show at the same facility is a no-go as well. After months of cancellations ostensibly due to COVID-related issues, the gun control boom was finally lowered on promoters of these legal events where honest citizens have lawfully exercised their Second Amendment right to purchase and own firearms for decades. |

Professor David Schultz points to the 1981 Supreme Court case, District of Columbia v. Heller, for clarification on whether or not anyone's rights are being infringed upon.
"What the court said in that opinion is that the individual right to bear arms is historically grounded either in a right to have a gun in our house to protect ourselves or that right to have a gun for the purposes of hunting," said Schultz.
Schultz says the court in the Heller case never said we have an unlimited right to carry guns at any place or at any time. He also says certain restrictions can still be put in place when it comes to the right to bear arms.

The debate is not only complicated by zeal on both sides that can aggravate divisiveness, but by the possibility that an open-carry ban on town property would preempt state law.
The state has said that these individuals after training and going through background checks are permitted to carry, so the question is, can the town go beyond that? Knapp said on Wednesday. Thats the big question, and unfortunately the statute isnt clear about our authority.
That means if Knapps committee recommends a local ban on open gun-carrying on town property and the ordinance is adopted by the full 12-member Legislative Council, the question of Newtowns authority would likely be challenged in court, Knapp said. |

Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley said new whistleblower reports corroborate allegations that David Chipman, President Joe Bidens nominee to be director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), engaged in racial bias.
According to a letter Grassley sent to DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz on Wednesday, these new whistleblower reports suggest Chipman has exhibited a pattern of extremely concerning racially biased behavior, citing an instance in which Chipman filed a complaint at DOJ that triggered an unwarranted investigation into an African American employee who he alleged, without evidence, cheated on an exam to become a GS-15. |

Indeed, a substantial percentage of surgeons acknowledged they do own one or more firearms and a solid majority said they believe gun ownership is a constitutional right, according to a recent survey by the American College of Surgeons (ACS). |

Constitutional Carry Bill SB 215 aims to recognize Ohio as one of the countrys list of states that allow permitless carry.
The bill does not eliminate the concealed carry license but more so makes it optional for those either still wanting the license or having it for reciprocity in other states.
Ohioans have proven themselves to be overwhelmingly law-abiding over the past 17 years since concealed carry became law, said Dean Rieck, BFA Executive Director. And Ohio is ready to join the 21 other states that now permit concealed carry without a license. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
Are we at last brought to such humiliating and debasing degradation, that we cannot be trusted with arms for our defense? Where is the difference between having our arms in possession and under our direction, and having them under the management of Congress? If our defense be the real object of having those arms, in whose hands can they be trusted with more propriety, or equal safety to us, as in our own hands? Patrick Henry, 3 J. Elliot, Debates in the Several State Conventions 45, 2d ed. Philadelphia, 1836 |
