"... One of the ten new gun laws [New Jersey Governor Chris Christie] did choose to sign last Thursday, though, is arguably a far more egregious assault on liberty than even the gun ban would be."
"A 3687/S 2485 ... finally achieves at the state level what the most rabid of gun prohibitionists have been pushing for years at the federal level. Under this law, one's Constitutionally guaranteed, fundamental human right of the individual can be trampled without a conviction, without an indictment, without even an arrest or formal charges. Actually, one's listing on the 'terror watch list' is not even contingent on the government claiming one has broken any laws--simply the assertion that one is suspected of 'terrorist' aspirations is enough." ... |

Mr. Abramski checked 'yes.' You might think a paperwork mistake, no matter how innocent, is the vilest crime known to a federal bureaucrat far worse than murder, rape, treason, molesting a child or even mopery."

"Like members of Congress, state legislators are elected to represent their constituents and vote on the laws that affect them."
"When legislators fail to represent the will and beliefs of their constituents and become beholden to outside influences, it is up to their constituents to fire them."
"This is exactly whats happening in Colorado with State Senate Majority leader John Morse facing a recall election starting on Aug. 20th 2013. Sen. Morse forgot about his constituents who elected him when he started taking his legislative orders from Mayor Bloomberg and the Brady Campaign, hastily ushering through a series of anti-gun laws in the wake of the tragedies in Aurora and Newtown." ... |

"My original review of DoubleTaps tactical pocket pistol went into some detail about the fairly punishing recoil delivered by this thin, light derringer. The gun is actually very controllable, its just painful to shoot. DoubleTap has been quite nice about answering my questions and checking out my pistol under warranty, and when they shipped the gun back to me they even included two additional barrels for me to play with: a ported 9mm barrel and a ported .45 ACP set. They said the ports make a big difference in felt recoil, and I was certainly interested to put that to the test, including taking some high speed video from the side to see if the ports visibly reduced muzzle rise or rearward movement. ..." ... |

"You will be surprised to know that American youths suffer from a debilitating lack of access to firearms. "'Remarkably, after decades of steadfast Second Amendment support, state Senator John Tuttle changed his position and voted in favor of LD 1240,' fumed the NRA, underlining the passage to emphasize its ire. 'Because Senator Tuttle changed his vote and sided with the anti-gun faction, LD 1240 passed in the state Senate by an 18-17 margin.'"

"New Jersey Governor Chris Christie pleased the forcible citizen disarmament lobby last week, when he signed 10 draconian anti-gun bills into law. This is hardly surprising. 'Republican' or not, Christie has long been a rabid gun prohibitionists. No--what is surprising is that he has not yet signed all the oppressive gun bills on his desk. Among those is one we discussed back in May--a ban of .50 caliber rifles. His reticence on that one is especially puzzling because back in April, a .50 caliber ban was among the infringements on that which shall not be infringed that he explicitly asked the legislature to pass." ... |
