Few pastimes are as purely fun as plinking with a rimfire. Thats even more true if its a handgun.
Sure, the .22 Long Rifle is by far the most common, but its upsized rimfire brother, the .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire offers significantly more performance yet with similarly nonexistent recoil. Whether fancying oneself a cowboy action gunslinger or simply enjoying the pleasures of repeating pistols, heres a handful of our favored handguns chambered in .22 WMR.

Wondering about Herters ammo? We were, too, to be honest, so we decided to take a deep dive into this historic brand.
We reviewed the ammo itself and looked into where and how it is made. We also found out some fascinating stuff about the original Herters brand (that I didnt even know, and Im supposed to be an expert on this stuff). |

As a kid, I never wondered what ammo my dad was loading when wed go out to the range. All I knew at the time was that hed put a couple of ammo cans in the back of his 1979 F-150 (we called it the Beast), put his SKS behind the seat, and wed head out to the range. When the ammo shortages hit the USA, I asked him what was in all of those ammo cans (I wanted the inventory we had back in the day), and he said, Golden Tiger. |

When an opinion piece at Common Dreams.org offering solutions to so-called gun violence cites how other countries regulate firearms, it reveals the author(s) must have skipped high school Civics because the United States isnt like those other countries for one important reason: The Second Amendment. |

You may have noticed a trend toward larger calibers in the world of tactical sporting rifles. If you can go bigger without beating up your shoulder, why not? That's the draw of the B&T APC308, so when one came in through our We Buy Guns program, there was no way I was passing up a chance to see how it ran.

Potential gun buyers in California now have one less hurdle to leap before they can purchase a firearm. They are now free to purchase as many as they desire providing of course that they meet the states other highly restrictive laws.
Last Wednesday, a three-judge panel of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals heard the states appeal of a district courts ruling from March declaring that the states one-gun-purchase-per-month was unconstitutional. The next day, it reversed its previous hold on the district courts ruling, allowing Californians now to purchase more than one firearm a month. |

The Democratic Party spends more space talking about gun policy in its 2024 platform than it did in its 2020 effort. The new platform, released on Monday, spends more than twice as long touting the partys gun policy accomplishments and advocating for new restrictions than the old one. It attacks Republican nominee and former President Donald Trumps record on guns. It also names seven specific policy promises should Democrats win control in the 2024 elections. |

The city of Dallas and the State Fair of Texas are facing mounting pressure to reverse a new policy banning nearly all guns from the fair this year.
The fair's security overhaul came in response to a shooting at last year's fair that injured three people. In the latest turn, Attorney General Ken Paxton has called the gun ban illegal and he says the clock is ticking for the city of Dallas to act before he pursues legal action. |
