Although habitat conditions remain generally favorable across the state, North Iowa wetlands are in need of significant precipitation.

Imagine if, in the early 20th century, the newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst not only grew from owning a single newspaper in San Francisco to building a media empire in New York and beyond, which he did, but also was able to build a company that could actually control private conversations between individual Americans. More than that, imagine if he could silence companies he didnt like by simply banning or shadow banning them from his vast communication platforms. And then, with this control over speech, imagine how he could really have begun to influence elections.

Introduced in 1980, the 9x21mm IMI was a creation between the Franco Benvenuti agency of Italy and Israel Military Industries (IMI). Many countries, including Italy and most of the European Union, have banned the use of all military ammunition, such as the 9mm Parabellum. In order to circumvent gun control measures, the collaborative effort to create a substitute ammunition was seen as a good resolution and would allow civilians to own and use a powerful cartridge without fear of repercussions.

Its a funny word, moderate. We throw it around habitually, as a positive and aggrandizing description, but we rarely stop to ask the crucial, prerequisite question: Relative to what? In some circumstanceswhen drinking, for examplemoderation can indeed be a virtue. In others, it is among the worst of vices. Justice Antonin Scalia liked to mock the notion that one could approach the U.S. Constitution in a moderate manner. What, Scalia inquired, is a moderate interpretation of the text?

A Florida woman shot and killed a man who returned to her home after an argument early Saturday and tried to use a tire iron to smash his way inside, authorities said.

The shooting happened just after 6 a.m. in an unincorporated area of Auburndale in Polk County, Sheriff Grady Judd said at a news conference. Judd said it appeared the shooter was perfectly legal to defend her home from a burglar.

This is another incidence where you just should have left, Judd said. But when you came back to the house thats not your home, and you tried to break in to get a girlfriend who didn't want to go with you, and youre shot and killed while breaking into the house with a tire iron, that was a bad choice.
