Thirty states issue concealed carry permits to law abiding citizens. We paid over 4 billion dollars and spent over 65 million hours in class to exercise that right. Millions of us were discouraged from legal concealed carry and gave up.

Those costs are not spread evenly or fairly. The costs are also paid in more than money and time. Gun-control costs lives.

The Alt-left does not even hide their violent threats against conservatives, Jim Hoft of Gateway Pundit noted Thursday. Of course, you will never see this reported by the #FakeNews media.

The patriot prayer rally is a nazi white supremacist event, so-called alt-left leader Jordan Towers threatened. Ill be their [sic] to crush some nazi [sic] skulls.

Towers deleted the nailed bat photo he posted on Twitter after backlash. Anyone connected with popular culture cant help but make the connection between what such a weapon is capable of doing and its similarity to the barbed wire-wrapped Lucille, sickeningly used by the totalitarian-minded Negan character on The Walking Dead.

California Democrats have now entered their final push to ensure that K-12 teachers will be unarmed if attacked in the classroom or on school grounds.

The push was launched via Democrat Assemblyman Kevin McCartys AB424, a bill that mandates that teachers with concealed-carry permits are not allowed to be armed on campus for defense of themselves or their students. Current law bans on-campus carry by teachers and staff except in districts where administrations have granted staff and teachers with concealed-carry permits the ability to carry.

I have a theory that the quickest way to get legislative gun control in this country would be to start a movement that successfully convinces millions of black folks to join the NRA. Im not pro-gun, I just know that a gun rights movement fueled largely by white fright would suddenly see the logic in gun restrictions if more people that didnt look like them carried firearms.

Last week, though, the ACLU decided to change that policy in response to a violent white supremacist protest in Charlottesville, Va. Dozens of protesters marched through the town with guns some armed better than police, according to state officials illustrating a troubling new challenge for First Amendment guardians: what to do now when people want to exercise their right to protest at the same time as their right to openly carry guns in public?

Even with the variety of blade species there are a handful of blade genuses. Lets take a 30,000-foot view of the major blade shapes.

Jennifer Marchant is in the clear.

After her conviction for killing her boyfriend was overturned by an appellate court that said she acted in self-defense, Niagara County District Attorney Caroline A. Wojtaszek said Friday she cannot legally appeal the decision to the state's highest court.

The appellate court majority said the jury verdict of first-degree manslaughter for the killing of Ralph D. Stone Jr. was "against the weight of the evidence."

The court's use of that phrase, based on analysis of the facts, makes the decision unappealable under New York State law, Wojtaszek said.

A new report by the Marshall Project published this month, which examines FBI data about 400,000 civilian homicides, finds that cases are far more likely to be determined justifiable homicides when the killer is white and the victim is black. In fact, while justifiable homicides only constituted 2% of all cases, that percentage swelled to 17% when the cases involved a white civilian killing a black civilian.

Hannah demonstrated the device - a cable lock - at his office recently. It looks a lot like a bike lock, and the cable slides through the gun's action, stopping it from firing.

What about using a gun in an emergency self-defense situation - wouldn't the locks get in the way? Hannah says that just as people train at the range, people can train for self-defense by practicing unlocking guns or opening safes quickly.

The Mossberg 930 JM Pro shotgun features a number of add-ons chosen by competition shooter Jerry Miculek, including an extended magazine tube.

The fast-paced sport of 3-gun is very popular right now, and with good reason. Three-gun takes elements of practical pistol shooting and extends them out to the use of a rifle and a shotgun as well. This means competitors have to shoot a pistol, rifle and shotgun quickly and accurately in order to win, in contrast to other shooting competitions that tend to focus on one platform.

According to Todd Sarotte, the manager of Vans Sporting Goods in Brandon, Mississippi, this weekends Second Amendment celebration firearms and related accessories are exempt from the states 7 percent sales tax through midnight Sunday is the biggest of the year for him: Its actually bigger for us than Black Friday. Its grown every year, and for the last two years its been bigger than Black Friday for us.

West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey is leading a 21-state coalition in urging the U.S. Supreme Court to defend the rights of gun owners in West Virginia and beyond.

The coalition intends to file a brief Friday asking the Supreme Court to hear arguments against, and ultimately strike down, a Maryland weapons ban. It argues the ban infringes on the rights of legal gun owners as it prohibits the sale, transfer and possession of certain semiautomatic firearms and standard-capacity magazines.

Suicide rates in rural areas of Maryland are 35 percent higher than in urban settings a disparity that could stem from access to firearms, according to a study conducted by the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

The study examined 6,200 suicides that took place in the state between 2003 and 2015 and found that the suicide rate in rural counties was more than 24 deaths per 100,000 people. In the states most urban areas, the rate was 16 deaths per 100,000 people.

The pro-gun community was upset, and caught off-guard by Ryans comments, because in this instance, there was no crime committed with a gun. Heather Heyers death, while tragic in every sense, was caused by a crazed person with car, not a gun.

The audience member who brought up the Sikh temple attack was a familiar face to Ryan, because the questioners father had been killed in the shooting.

West Virginia's attorney general has filed a brief on behalf of a 21-state coalition urging the U.S. Supreme Court to hear arguments against Maryland gun restrictions.

The group is urging the top court to overturn the Fourth Circuit ruling and ensure Congress couldn't reinstate a similar ban nationally.

The Maryland statute prohibits sale and possession of certain semi-automatic rifles and large-capacity magazines.

West Virginia allows them.

But the Fourth Circuit sets case law governing not only Maryland, but West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia too.

In an unsurprising turn, officials in the District of Columbia have decided to continue to defend their near total ban on the right to bear arms. On Thursday, D.C. filed a petition for rehearing en banc with the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit in the combined cases of Grace v. D.C. and Wrenn v. D.C.

As we reported last month, the D.C. Circuit struck down the Districts restrictive handgun permitting law that required applicants to show a good or proper reason for needing to carry a concealed handgun. Under this system, D.C. officials have denied all but a few applicants their right to carry a firearm for personal protection.
