"Five years ago this weekend, Hurricane Katrina slammed into southern Louisiana and Mississippi, devastating the City of New Orleans, killing hundreds of people and setting the stage for an outrage that still angers American gun rights advocates."
"In the days after Katrina hammered New Orleans and adjacent St. Tammany Parrish, an order was issued that only police would be allowed to have guns. Law enforcement personnel from various other states, as far away as New York and California, along with National Guard troops came in to help restore order. In the process, many citizens firearms were seized, sometimes at gunpoint, and invariably with the use of intimidation." ... |

"Yesterday, I suggested that the Chiappa Rhino could be a big hit, thanks to its entirely sensible caliber (.357), promise of low(er) recoil and totally rad design (Battlestar Gallactica meets Terminator). According to the presser, the gat has a hexagonal barrel. The side-on pics didn't show much on that front (so to speak). So I contacted my main man Charles Brown over at MKS Marketing. He sent me these shots ... for your dining and dancing pleasure. Notice that the Rhino's barrel is flat-sided, which should make the gun easier to carry. I still think the 4" barrel version will be The One. Meanwhile, good grief! Charlies sending TTAG a testing and evaluation model. We promise to review the weapon the same day its received. ..." |

... "There is great anguish and outrage at the prospect of the legalization of same-sex marriage, that it will lead to the moral collapse of America. I suggest that a country that has legalized the killing of unborn children and the unchecked production, distribution and ownership of handguns and assault rifles that have no use other than the killing of human beings has already reached the depths of moral decay. Even if the Supreme Court declares same-sex marriage legal, as they have declared that anyone with a uterus has the right to kill a child, and that the Second Amendment, written in the 18th Century, which has been obsolete for 175 years, is somehow still valid in the 21st Century, these issues will never be 'settled law' in God's court." |
