Laura Carno interviewed students at an advanced class for first responders in schools. The class is called FASTER. The class and the people made quite an impression on her. It will leave an impression on you too.

"Children are being murdered in their schools while politicians trade talking points and campaign promises about school safety. What can we do to keep our children safe while politicians jockey for position in back rooms? Here is a solution that works."

"Politicians promote the fantasy that guns should never be allowed in schools. But those same politicians need to face the reality that disturbed or evil people do bring guns in to our schools. The news shows us what happens when we leave schools unarmed."

But fearing more lone-wolf attacks on their soil, Germans are requesting self-defense weapons permits in record high numbers and experts say citizens across every socioeconomic class from workers or professors.

New police research data confirmed Germans feel increasingly unsafe in the wake of recent lone-wolf attacks, and their fear is driving the demand for non-lethal self-defense weapons.

Ed.: "Bewaffnete Brger" translates to "Armed Citizens".

On the Ron and Don Show this week, Don invited folks to enter the arena on the topic of banning AR-15s, a proposal he supports in the wake of too many shootings, local and national. Ill happily join the arena for the debate because while his argument is emotionally powerful and rooted in good intentions, its flawed and dangerous.

Don sets up the argument like this: make a choice you either say goodbye to the AR-15 (and similar types of guns) or you say goodbye to the innocent lives of children.

Its a specious choice. Its also constitutionally invalid.

Rep. Alex Mooney was in Putnam County Thursday night for a Second Amendment town hall event.

Mooney, West Virginias 2nd District Congressman, said he wanted to host the event at the Poca River Hunting, Fishing and Recreation Club because the right to bear arms is important to his district and the whole Mountain State.

The constituents I represent in West Virginia have made it clear to me that they cherish the legitimate use of firearms, for self-defense and many other important uses, he said. As long as Im there, you can count on me to defend your Second Amendment rights.

So the president is saying that a drug dealer illegally in possession of an unlicensed firearm can be forgiven if he doesnt shoot anyone with it? In that case, would he consider laying off citizens with no criminal record who would like to legally purchase an AR-15 rifle for self-defense?

You might have heard this before: "The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun." So, could it?

"I think that's a great idea," Lorelei Phillips, a Clarksburg resident and gun owner, said. "I don't think we should be left without the right to protect ourselves."

"I just feel that you can take them down," Kelsey Miller, a Bridgeport resident and gun owner, said. "If you're in danger, that's what it's for."

"You can't say 'hi' and be nice to him," said Greg Holden, a Clarksburg resident and gun owner. "He's going to shoot you, so you just gotta shoot him back."

HRC is actively campaigning against the lawful commerce in arms, says Rugers CEO today.

This is good news: gun-company CEOs publically speaking out against HRCs and the DNCs current campaign to obliterate our Second Amendment, all at great risk to themselves and to their companies.

As a longtime civil rights activist who is keenly aware of attempts to restrict or eliminate our rights, I am opposed to the Question One gun control ballot initiative that will appear on the Nevada ballot in November. This anti-freedom initiative does not increase our civil rights. It undermines them. Question One does not improve public safety. It suppresses our fundamental liberties. It would do little, if anything, to stop criminal activity in our state, and would instead turn many law-abiding gun owners into criminals for everyday activities.

A gun industry trade group said it is taking aim at Attorney General Maura Healeys crackdown on so-called copycat assault rifles in a lawsuit to be filed in the near future that will claim she overstepped her authority.

Lawrence Keane, general counsel of the National Shooting Sports Foundation, told the Herald, We believe very clearly that the attorney general does not have the statutory or constitutional authority to promulgate these regulations and to in effect rewrite the statute.

The firearm industry group, based in Newtown, Conn., said it retained former U.S. attorney Michael Sullivan for the lawsuit, which will attack Healeys interpretation of the
statute that could be used to ban the sale of all semiautomatic guns.

Police say the suspects demanded money but the victim refused.

The victim was struck with one bullet, caliber sizewe don't know; it entered his cheek and is still within him, said Bailey.

That's when the victim turned the tables on his perpetrators.

In the process of being robbed, the victim had withdrawn his own weapon and fired, in return striking one subject in the face area, said Bailey.

The other suspect fled the scene, later to be found and arrested by police.

They try to rob him, he has a gun, they dont know he had a gun, he pulls it out, turns around and starts shooting, Grier said referring to ONeal. All three were shot multiple times.

Hunter was shot in in the leg and head, Calhoun County Deputy Coroner Shane Adrian said in May. Riggins and ONeal were both taken to Anniston RMC and then Riggins was taken to UAB Hospital in Birmingham the following day, police had said.

Grier said investigators took the case to the Calhoun County District Attorneys office, which presented it to a grand jury.

Nobody was charged in Hunters homicide, Grier said. It was considered justifiable and self-defense.

If we really want to stop this carnage we need a fundamental change in our mindset regarding gun use. Prosecute every shooting as an act of terrorism unless there can be absolutely no doubt that it really took place in self-defense. No more "standing our ground" based on perceived threats. No dismissing of "accidental" shootings by children who accessed adults' guns. Eliminate the macho attitudes about self-protection in the public arena that simply mask personal fears of others; we need to clearly define self-defense and then strictly enforce the limits.

I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. During the horrific killing of five officers and wounding of seven others in Dallas in July, police responding to the multiple shots didn't know who to apprehend. That's because there were nearly 30 people openly carrying rifles at the demonstration. In this open carry state, there were doubtless even more people with handguns. Many of these armed protesters were also wearing camouflage outfits, bullet-proof vests and gas masks.

Sociology professor Jennifer Lynn Glass, creative writing professor Lisa Moore, and English professor Mia Carter have filed a lawsuit against the Texas attorney general, the university president, and the university's board of regents, arguing that the new concealed carry laws will stifle discussion and risk putting students in danger. Their suit also argues that the new law is not protected by the Second Amendment, and violates the equal protection clause, saying the Constitution protects a "well regulated militia" and that the current concealed carry requirements do not impose "proper discipline and training."

In Jackson, Mississippi, police say a 17-year-old was apparently burglarizing a Lexus sedan that was parked at Performance Oil Equipment Inc. located at 920 East McDowell Road.

The owner of the business, armed with a handgun, approached and attempted to stop him.

At that point the 17 year old teen didnt stop but instead lunged at the armed business owner.

There was a struggle between the burglar and the armed individual. The criminal was shot multiple times in the upper torso, said a Police Commander.

Should people be allowed to carry guns and other weapons at the Iowa State Fair?

Iowa Code prevents individuals from bringing weapons of any kind onto the fairgrounds without permission from the fair's board of directors. But at a special review Friday, state lawmakers will hear from members of the public interested in lifting the ban.

Whether guns should be allowed on the state fairgrounds has been a long-standing point of contention for members of Iowa's firearms community, many of whom argue that it infringes on a licensed gun owner's right to carry a weapon.

Former federal prosecutor, governor of Massachusetts, Hugo Black fan, and Libertarian vice presidential candidate William Weld tells a reporter from Revolt TV that "the problem with handguns is probably even worse than the problem of the AR-15" (not sure why) and "you shouldn't have anybody who's on a terrorist watch list be able to buy any gun at all."

Reason.TV host Nick Gillespie recently asked Johnson and Weld whom theyd nominate for the U.S. Supreme Court. Johnson answered that he would look for good people who focus on the original intent of the Constitution a good, old-school Libertarian answer. Then Weld threw out two names Justice Stephen Breyer, a Bill Clinton nominee who believes the Second Amendment does not protect the right to self-defense, and Judge Merrick Garland, whom President Obama nominated to fill the Antonin Scalia vacancy.

It was the massacre at Orlandos Pulse nightclub that finally prompted Abraham Ruiz to get involved with pushing for gun reform.

I took it very personally, the 31-year-old D.C. resident says of the shooting that killed 49 people, the majority of whom were members of the LGBT community. Im a gay Latino. Most of the people who died in Orlando were Latino. I think its time to give them a voice, because they didnt have a chance.

Thats why, on Tuesday evening, Ruiz and about 20 other protesters stationed themselves outside the Marriott Wardman Park, where a conference of the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) was taking place.

Senator Paul is clearly worried, as we all should be, that a President Hillary Clinton will use executive orders to limit the protection of the Second Amendment.

It is also an attempt to stop the use of the president legislating by executive orders to usurp the powers of Congress under Section 8, which enumerates the specific powers of Congress.

Obviously, Obama and Hillary will never sign this bill, and we would need 67 votes to override a veto. Presumably, Donald Trump would sign this bill.
