If you are a parent in Illinois, you might think carefully about getting your child a squirt gun because a new ambiguous law has just passed. HB-218 amends the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act leaves a lot open to interpretation.
The Firearm Industry Responsibility Act, House Bill 218, is supposed to hold gun manufacturers accountable. Like so many other bills lawmakers have come up with, many gray areas favor the person filing the lawsuit. |

In Joe Bidens America, the quickest way to marginalize an individual or a group is by labeling them racist. It can happen to anyone since the accusations dont have to be supported by facts. Once the label has been cast, the legacy media takes over. The accused will become the target of relentless coverage, mostly opinion, which reinforces their racism, whether its real or imagined. Their friends and supporters will flee, and theres definitely no appeal since anyone who is forced to deny theyre racist only appears more racist. |

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul is toughening her public safety platform to help Democrats retake control of the House, a strategic reset after Republicans won a series of upsets in the states congressional races by seizing on concerns over crime. The recalibration follows a disastrous midterm election cycle for Democrats in New York after Republicans flipped four U.S. House seats in the state last year, helping them win control of the chamber.

I assumed that school boards were cowards if they didnt have a publicly announced plan to physically defend their students. I was wrong. I found out that many school boards recognized the need to protect the students and staff, but they were afraid they would lose the political fight to do so. Many of those boards adopted an attitude of Dont ask and dont tell.
One failed school district can hurt all of us in many ways. There are unresolved issues to face as we protect our kids at school. This is where you provide the solution. |

The Illinois 5th Circuit Court of Appeals has finally reversed and remanded a lower court ruling in a case which could determine whether the Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) card requirement is constitutional. The Second Amendment Foundation notes this will be the third go-round for the case in White County Circuit Court, but it could ultimately end up before the Illinois State Supreme Court, noted SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb. The case was brought and funded by SAF and the Illinois State Rifle Association.

Mexico, a 760,000 square mile nation with 126 million people, has exactly one legal gun store in the entire country. Despite that, it has one of the highest rates of gun homicide of any developed nation. Second Amendment absolutists use this as proof that gin control doesnt work, but it leaves out a very important facet of the conversation. Half a million guns from the United States enter Mexico illegally every year. Those weapons are bought legally, mostly in Arizona and Texas. |
