"Finally, thank you for advising me of my right to pursue resolution in federal district court if I am dissatisfied with your action on my appeal. If that should happen, please be advised it would also be my intent to continue to provide public exposure of this pursuit, as well as to advise my elected representatives of the prolonged efforts I have made to date and the responses I have received."

Quiet as a mouse, the edict is ordered, and obeyed by Americans who had decided they are sheep. What would you do if this happened in your town or county? Tell me. I want to know. Apparently nothing happened in Ruidoso.

Unconstitutional? Of course! Does the Constitution matter anymore? NOT TO OUR ELECTED OFFICIALS WHO HAVE CHOSEN TO TAKE YOU OVER; to lift themselves higher than the Constitution which is your guarantee of freedom and liberty and limited powers placed in the hands of the government.
Then why didnt they route this guy out of office immediately?
Does this make you break out in a cold sweat?

It is clearly an illegal act, as it violates Article II Section 6 of the NM Constitution. A law suit has already been filed by M

In my first column I wrote about the right to self help as an indispensible means for survival. Some may believe the police are responsible for our safety and it is better left to the professionals. I have no argument with that - just this question: What if no one comes?

Richard Baca, who was home on leave from a military tour in Iraq when he shot and killed a former Robertson High School football star during a road-rage incident in Las Vegas, N.M., was found not guilty in the case Friday.

A state District Court jury in Santa Rosa deliberated about 2 hours before acquitting Baca, who was 21 when he shot Benito Lemos, 22, in November 2009. Baca was facing a voluntary manslaughter charge.

Bacas lawyer, Jeff Buckels, said the jury sent a message to the people of Las Vegas that getting out of a car to beat another driver Baca was punched by Lemos before the shooting is dangerous, explosive behavior that shouldnt be tolerated.

A Michigan pharmacist who fought off armed attackers by firing a gun of his own to thwart a robbery attempt in May was hailed by many as a hero.

After the hair-raising confrontation that was captured on surveillance video, Jeremy Hovans employer rewarded him with a pink slip. Now, Hovan is fighting back, filing a federal lawsuit against Walgreens for wrongful termination.

No life was lost, no life was harmed, and nothing was stolen, Hovans lawyer, Dan Swanson, told NBC News. So in that context, I think he was a hero. He was exercising his reasonable right of self-defense in the face of a gunman who attempted to pull a trigger three times and shoot him. Presumably, shoot him dead.

Ed.: Also a poll.

The more we learn about the Fast and Furious scandal in which the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) illegally facilitated the transfer of thousands of guns to violent drug cartels in Mexico the more apparent it is that we are witnessing a large-scale cover-up of epic proportions.

In fact, its getting difficult to keep up with all of the shuffling of key agency personnel who were involved in the deadly scandal.

It was historic when Michael Monahan walked out of the Palm Beach County Jail last week a free man. One day, he faced up to life in prison for fatally shooting two men who boarded his boat in Riviera Beach. The next day, a judge dismissed the first-degree murder charges against him.

Monahan's case marks the first time a Palm Beach County judge has dismissed a murder charge under a controversial state law that gives extra protection to people who use force in self-defense.

Congress plans to hear testimony Tuesday on a bill that would allow licensed gun owners to carry their firearms across state lines without notifying anyone.

Like other gun disputes, this one comes with heated opinions on both sides.

Gun advocates, such as the National Rifle Association, say such a law would help people to protect themselves when they travel.

Currently, licensed gun owners from one state violate other states laws when they carry concealed weapons across state lines.

The National Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act, H.R. 822, would change that.

Some people who want concealed-weapon permits are apparently trying to satisfy the training requirement by taking hunter-education classes, even though the classes weren't intended to cover concealed-carry issues, state officials said.

The concealed-carry law takes effect Nov. 1. Under the measure, residents who can prove they've taken a training course can apply for a permit to carry a concealed handgun.

The state hasn't released specific requirements for firearm training, but the law says a hunter-education class established by the state Department of Natural Resources would qualify.

In response to a comment Aug. 30 from Karen A. D'Andrea, an advocate for Maine Citizens against Handgun Violence, in which she said, "Let's be clear and factual. No one has the absolute right to own or carry a gun."

Excuse me. Has Ms. D'Andrea ever heard of this thing called the Constitution of the United States of America?
