If anyone sees a fake foreign solider with a mohawk, consider him deranged and dangerous:
"The suspect in last weeks fatal ambush outside a rural Pennsylvania State Police barracks belonged to a military simulation unit whose members play the role of soldiers from eastern Europe. Eric Frein, 31, appears to have assumed that role in real life as he seeks to avoid capture, Lt. Col. George Bivens said. ..." |

When it comes to justice, its obvious that the only color most civil rights icons see is green. ... Shaneen Allen, a hard-working mother of two who legally obtained a concealed carry permit in Pennsylvania after twice being robbed by young thugs similar to Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown, made the huge mistake of going to New Jersey. She now faces a felony criminal record and years in prison away from her sons, merely because she crossed a state line and told the officer who pulled her over for a minor traffic infraction that she had a concealed weapon in the vehicle. Where are the Reverends Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton as judges and prosecutors and gun control supporters demand that she be made an example of? |

Against a backdrop of increasing public outrage about gun control, Floridas Stand Your Ground law has increased the use of deadly force. Before its creation, a person had to reasonably believe that such conduct is necessary to defend himself or herself or another against the others imminent use of unlawful force. Fla. Stat. 776.012. A person under attack had to attempt to retreat until it was no longer possible. The one claiming self-defense had to use all reasonable means to avoid the aggressor and to prevent taking his or her life. The only place these guidelines did not apply was in your own home. You did not have a duty to avoid the aggressor if you were being attacked in your home by a trespasser. |

Washington DC has been ordered to allow concealed handguns But, cmon, lets not get carried away. I mean, why on Earth would we rush to allow such American freedoms in Americas capitol, right? Following in the footsteps of liberal enclaves like Boston, New York, and the Peoples Republic of California, Washington DC is paying lip service to the Second Amendment by crafting a May Issue concealed carry rule.
Essentially, the rule amounts to an arbitrary case-by-case determination of concealed carry applications, where applicants will be asked to provide a legitimate reason for carrying a gun. |

The ads are direct, to the point and jarring. A girl in pigtails and a pink dress stands in the freezer aisle of a grocery store holding an ice cream cone. Next to her is a man in jeans and a T-shirt with an automatic rifle slung over his shoulder.
The tagline reads: Attention Shoppers: Kroger doesnt permit outside food and drink inside their stores. So why would they allow this loaded gun? |

The National Rifle Association says its given Democratic U.S. Senate nominee Gordon Ball an F rating on Second Amendment rights, charging Ball has embraced former New York City Mayor Michael Bloombergs gun control agenda.
A Ball spokeswoman said the campaign was not aware of the grade or the charges.

It's already against federal law for people convicted of domestic violence to buy, own, or possess guns, but there's no mechanism in place to take away the guns they have.
So the South Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault is urging state lawmakers to pass a state law to confiscate abusers' guns. "People recognize that this is not a Second Amendment issue," says Rebecca Williams-Agee, director of prevention and education at SCCADVASA. "This is an issue of taking guns out of the hands of very dangerous people who are already legally prohibited from having them." |

Assuming this country still exists a century from now and we havent retreated into armed compounds to await the Rapture, our descendants will look back at our tolerance for Second Amendment extremism and the militarization of the police the same way we shake our heads at proponents of Manifest Destiny, Jim Crow, the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II, the Vietnam War and the trillions spent invading and occupying Iraq while our infrastructure at home crumbled. |

Well now the New Jersey Second Amendment Society along with several other groups has raised funds to launch a billboard campaign to essentially Free Shaneen. They erected four huge billboards with Allen's picture on it in the Garden State to help bring to light how ridiculous this ruling is and help put pressure on the prosecutor and other individuals to take a second look at this case and do the right thing. |

New Jersey lawmakers are looking to upgrade the penalties for allowing children access to loaded, unlocked firearms.
The bill, which a Senate committee advanced unanimously Thursday, was written in response to the April 2013 death of 6-year-old Brandon Holt of Toms River, who was accidentally shot in the head by a 4-year-old with a loaded .22-caliber rifle as they played.
State law already requires gun owners to store loaded firearms in a locked container or secure location or secure them with a trigger lock if they reasonably should know a minor would likely have access to the weapon. |

VanDyke, who in May resigned from his job as the state's highest-ranking civil lawyer, is campaigning as the candidate without political ties.
"I am not a politician by nature," VanDyke states on his campaign website. "Politics is often about spinning the truth. I believe the law should be about finding the truth." |

An Oceanside gun parts maker, selling a pistol part he calls The Obamas Blaster, has gotten the national attention he wanted.
Dimitrios Karras, owner of Ares Armor, says its all a joke, meant to stir up controversy, not to encourage anyone to use it on the president.
The whole purpose is so we can talk about it, Karras said Thursday. We stirred up a very liberal hornets nest.
Karras said they are selling the upper gun receiver part for an AR-15 pistol as The Obamas Blaster, a subtle distinction from calling it an Obama-Blaster. |

Determined not only to maintain Connecticuts status as home to some of the toughest gun laws in the nation but also to continue to promote gun safety, a new political action committee made its endorsements Thursday on the steps of the state Capitol.
CT Voters for Gun Safety endorsed all six constitutional officers, including Democratic Gov. Dannel P. Malloy and Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman.
Ron Pinciaro, chairman of CT Voters for Gun Safety, said Malloy earned their endorsement for his leadership and courage and his calls for action and willingness to actafter the Sandy Hook shootings that left 20 children and six educators dead. |

In the wake of reports earlier this week that questioned the necessity of asking race and ethnicity questions on the Federal Form 4473 to purchase a firearm, two members of Congress today introduced legislation that would outlaw the practice.
Reps. Diane Black (R-TN) and Ted Poe (R-TX) have introduced the FIREARM (Freedom from Intrusive Regulatory Enforcement of Arbitrary Registration) Act. It is a very simple, two-page bill that prohibits the federal government from requiring disclosure of race or ethnicity when purchasing a firearm.

Never before have I felt so naked.
Now more than ever, I wish I was armed.
And Im not alone.
Any and all home-grown Islamic terrorism should be able, if need be, to be met by a well-armed civilian militia. The United Kingdom has had two beheadings of members of the public in the last two years, with neither police nor civilians able to prevent it. It has prohibitive gun laws. |
