Nine months after the Second Amendment Foundation sued the Department of Justice and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in federal court over ATFs flip on how it regulates stabilizing braces on pistols, the DOJ and SAF jointly asked for a continuation of a stay in the legal action to allow processing of more than 211,000 public comments on a proposed rule on Factoring Criteria for Firearms with Attached Stabilizing Braces.

The .4 buckshot size doesnt get as much use by shooters as it probably should. A very nice home-defense round, .4" buck is also a lot of fun to shoot on the range. Pumping a few rounds into various-sized targets is very satisfying with this ammo type because the power and penetration is just staggering.

The XPB series is a line of ammo created and distributed by Barnes Bullets (well known among reloaders), an ammunition manufacturer based in Utah. These bullets are only used in large caliber handgun ammo, from the .357 up to .500 S&W and everything in between. The Barnes XPB features various nose shapes, but one thing is standard across every bullet type the hollow point. This allows for maximum expansion on impact and phenomenal stopping power, no matter what youre shooting. This particular style of ammunition is great for home defense, and is also fairly popular among handgun hunters who go after game like hogs and other handgun-friendly targets.

After her husband bought seats to a concealed carry class as a gift for her 21st birthday, Desstoni Johnson left the class feeling like she didn't learn a thing.

Many times during class, she felt the male instructor was speaking to everyone except her and the only other woman in the class. Johnson and her classmate would constantly glance at one another wondering if they were the only ones confused and feeling left out.

Instead of becoming discouraged about it, Johnson became motivated to continue practicing and learning as much as she could on her own. It inspired her to want to help others.

A recent analysis of polling data by the Pew Research Center shows personal protection tops the list of reasons why gun owners say they own a firearm.

This would certainly square with what a 20-something Seattle residenta transplant from Florida about five years agotold John Carlson, the morning drive time talk host at KVI-AM in an interesting interview about why he felt the need to arm himself and take some firearms training, and get a concealed pistol license.

CZ is known for making some of the most popular guns in the competition world, and their experience in that field has resulted in some first-class defensive carry pistols. The new CZ P-10 F Competition-Ready pistol, however, followed a different path. The new P-10 F Competition-Ready is a product of the CZ P-10 C, the company's first striker-fired pistol. The P-10 C was designed as a compact polymer-framed gun for self-defense and military use and was followed by the subcompact P-10 S and the full-size P-10 F.

Its known that firearms can serve for a long time after theyre no longer cutting edge. Flintlocks held on long into the percussion era. During the American Civil War, plenty of cavalry units, especially local militias, turned up with single-shot pistols despite Colts revolvers having been on the market for a while by then.

These daysat least most of the time$5 wont buy you much. Maybe a pound of ground beef. Or a gallon of milk. Or 10 rounds of 9 mm. But when it comes to freedom, $5 can buy you a lot. A whole lot, in fact. And if you dont believe me, just ask the thousands of NRA members whove joined our NRA-ILA Partners in Freedom programsupporting NRA-ILAs defense of the Second Amendment with a monthly contribution. Some give $5 or $10. Some give as much as $20, $30, $50 or even $100. All make a significant and lasting impact in our fight to defend freedom.

The Greenville County Council passed an ordinance on Tuesday night to become a right to keep and bear arms jurisdiction for Second Amendment rights. This ordinance means that the county will not use public money to help federal or state agencies engage in any unlawful restrictions of gun rights, according to officials. This ordinance does not apply to people who have been convicted of a felony, according to officials.

Who would have believed a year and a half ago what our lives would be like today? Not me! But the COVID-19 pandemic, attacks by governmental entities and officials, and personal and family illnesses have not stopped the NRA. Certainly, my personal journey was not what I envisioned when I was elected to serve as your president, but through it all, I have survived and so has our NRA. Though my husband has been severely ill recently, he has encouraged me to be steadfastto continue serving our God and our beloved country by leading our Association. My personal road less traveled has not been the road I would have chosen, but through all these trials, I am personally stronger.

You and I are now living through an unprecedented era in our nations history. Violent crime is soaring nationwide, and its no coincidence that its happening at a time when major political leaders and far-left interest groups are intent on making America less safe and less free.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is set to revamp the crime data it gathers for its reporting systemeffective January 1, 2021. This might sound like an obtuse story, but it actually is a big deal. The data the FBI takes from police departments all over the nation affects a lot of legislationand a lot of academic studies that then make it into the media.

In 2019, I interviewed Holly Sullivan from CCDL and she was telling me about her Dene Adams corset, which she LOVES. I made a clip of her talking about it and sent it to Anna Taylor. And I asked if she would get in the stagecoach. She said she would be up for it when I made it to Kansas City. And I made it to Kansas City this summer!

In todays world of 24-hour news cycles, changing technologies and push-button gratification it is a challenge to stay connected to the values that our great country was built on. Ideals such as integrity, commitment and personal responsibility are what founding fathers relied on to win our independence and to then make America a great nation.

At Project Appleseed, we are dedicated to keeping these timeless values alive, their announcement reads. Project Appleseed is a fast-growing, 501(c) (3) non-profit educational community of dedicated volunteers. We promote civic responsibility through the teaching of colonial history and the American traditions of rifle marksmanship.

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
...but if circumstances should at any time oblige the government to form an army of any magnitude, that army can never be formidable to the liberties of the people, while there is a large body of citizens, little if at all inferior to them in discipline and use of arms, who stand ready to defend their rights... Alexander Hamilton speaking of standing armies in Federalist No. 29.
