When Democratic Presidential candidate Beto ORourke announced on the debate stage that Hell yes, we are going to take your AR-15, your AK-47, he set off a media firestorm and ignited passionate gun owners all over the country. That firestorm in Texas included a response by one of our state representatives, who reminded us all that Come and Take It was not a polite invitation to those in authority. It was, in fact, a challenge to a dictator threatening physical violence on people who simply wanted to live freely and defend themselves against tyranny.

The political far left and wealthy elites are very much alike in that they have a need to control, and they do not like gun owners because we can take care of ourselves.
That was the message from Rick Patterson, executive director of the Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers Institute (SAAMI), who spoke over the weekend at the 34th annual Gun Rights Policy Conference in Phoenix. He also warned that the far left will say or do anything to win. |

A social ill takes place on three levels: the object level, the individual level, and the social level.
Take alcoholism. Theres the object, alcohol. Theres the choice that the individual makes to drink the alcohol. And, finally, theres the social problems that can be blamed for widespread alcoholism. |

American gun owners make up a diverse community, and include individuals from all across the population spectrum, people of every race, creed, culture or socio-economic status. While many factors may tie us together, one near-universal thread is the desire to keep our families safe. Two new products from Stoeger Industries address this desire specifically, and, by offering these tools at remarkably budget-friendly prices, the company ensures that personal safety is not a right reserved only for the wealthy.

Increasing human populations and urban sprawl has forced hunters to be more adept at hunting bucks on ever-shrinking chunks of property, and the best small acreage hunter I know is Chad McKibben. Though hes only been hunting just over a decade, McKibben has managed to take really large bucks on properties where other hunters would strike out. |

Anti-gun Representatives tried and failed on Wednesday, September 18th to override Governor Chris Sununus vetoes of three-anti gun bills. House Bill 109 would have effectively banned the private transfer of firearms, with exemptions too narrow to matter. As written, the bill would have imposed a definition of commercial sales broad enough to cover private transactions at gun shows, forcing nearly all individuals transfer through Federal Firearm Licensed (FFL) dealers. |

SIG had a juggernaut in its catalog with the 2009 release of the .380 P238 micro pistol; a few years later, it followed up with the 9mm version, the P938. Between the two pistols, the Px38 series was SIGs best-selling design for years. The x38s are based on Colts Mustang compact pistol, originally introduced in the 1980s. While the barrel-to-slide interface differs between x38s and Mustangs, just about everything else on the guns is the same. In fact, plenty of people run Mustang magazines in their SIG pistols, and vice versa. |

The company featured on the cover of the October American Rifleman has traveled an interesting road. It started on Fifth Avenue in New York City in 1918. Thats when Austrian immigrant Alexander F. Stoeger sent out his first fliers advertising guns and accessories. Stoeger became a mail-order firearm and accessory company, and its catalog and handbook grew from a wire-bound pamphlet into an actual book, one that served as a snapshot in time for each year as to which firearms from around the world were commercially available. We know that book today as the Shooters Bible. |

Gov. Tony Evers said Tuesday he wants new laws on guns, but his proposals aren't what some Republicans have suggested. "My goal is to work on two things we know the people of Wisconsin want: universal background checks and making sure that people that are struggling with mental issues and are deemed to be dangerous by a court of law have their guns temporarily taken away from them," Evers said. |

As a reader of this magazine, you know gun rights are politically incorrect, at least according to the mainstream media. So we love that The Ultimate Mans Survival Guide to the Workplace includes, in a chapter titled Be a Man of Action in the Workplace, a guide to carry guns and tips from multiple NRA-certified experts on how to carry while keeping a ready mindsetimportant advice for everyone today. Perhaps, though, that is to be expected from this book, as it was written by the editor in chief of this magazine. |
