Pro-gun activists and gun owners, take heed that the Democrats want to take your guns away.
They have established this by their campaign promises, if they are elected to office. You all need to vote for Republican candidates to be assured that your Second Amendment rights continue. |

I don't like guns.
And, until last Sunday, I had never shot a real gun.
Yes, I have played laser tag, cops and robbers, and other games that require you to use a pretend firearm, but the real thing ... no, not for me.
At my home, we morbidly, and inappropriately, joke that if I owned a gun I would probably shoot myself. |

This type of legislation also raises concerns about due process, the possibility of misuse due to false or unsubstantiated allegations, and the effect of this approach on civil rights more generally. The American Civil Liberties Association in one state objected to a GVRO bill, citing the precedent [the bill] sets for the use of coercive measures against individuals not because they are alleged to have committed any crime, but because somebody believes they might, someday, commit one, and explaining that the standard for seeking and issuing an order is so broad it could routinely be used against people who engage in overblown political rhetoric on social media |

In fact, this week we have seen the accusation-equals-conviction narrative elevated to the national level. Several Democrats and pundits have stated expressly that Brett Kavanaugh indeed, any conservative man should be presumed guilty and have to prove his innocence. Meanwhile, Democratic men like former President Bill Clinton and more recently Rep. Keith Ellison get a pass, even with abundant evidence of their misdeeds.
And government deprivation of our Constitutional rights is far less likely if we can defend ourselves against it. So the Second Amendment has to go.

Matt Rosendale, the Republican nominee in Montanas U.S. Senate race, released the following statement today after Jon Tester announced he will be voting no on Brett Kavanaughs nomination to the Supreme Court:
No one should be surprised by this. We always knew Jon Tester was never going to vote for Judge Brett Kavanaugh. Time and time again, Tester stands with Chuck Schumer and Washington Democrats over the people of Montana. Tester has opposed both of President Trumps Supreme Court nominees and supported all of President Obamas Supreme Court nominees, including Sonia Sotomayor who said, The right to possess a gun is clearly not a fundamental right. We cant trust Jon Tester on the Second Amendment. |

At this years Gun Rights Policy Conference in Chicago, one thing was clear: The gun lobby was blindsided by the national youth-led anti-gun violence movement that grew out of that Valentines Day massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, and the pro-gun movement needs to adapt to deal with it.
Parkland has changed one thing: The other side now has grassroots, for real. Its not Astroturf anymore. And that is a tremendous change, Gene Hoffman, co-founder and chairman of the CalGuns Foundation, a gun rights group in California, told the audience at the conference last weekend. That means were going to have to change what we do to effectively counter those people. |

Cruz focused on a certain witness, Leland Keyser, a close friend of Ford, noting that her testimony is the most revealing since she had no incentive to lie when she denied any recollection of Kavanaugh or the alleged event.
Dr. Ford testified yesterday that Ms. Keyser texted her after submitting that statement to say she was sorry, sorry for not backing up her story. I think that indicates powerfully that her incentives, that if all possible, were to back up the story and yet she didnt feel she could, Cruz said. She had no incentive, no motive to lie. Every incentive to agree with Dr. Fords story and yet she did not do so. |

I-1639 unfairly targets and penalizes responsible 18 to 20 year olds. Washingtons law-abiding adults aged 18-20 are legally responsible enough to vote, get married, purchase a home, sign a contract, and serve in our military. Yet I-1639s proponents want you to believe these same adults cannot be trusted to defend themselves or their families and are attempting to use the crimes of a few as a justification to curtail the rights of many. |

Under the federal Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act (PURPA), utilities must buy back any excess electricity home and business owners generate with their private solar energy systems. In similar style, business and home owners should be able to deduct from their property tax the cost of security systems, alarms and even firearms and ammunition. These owners face declining police services and slow response times, even as Propositions 47 and 57 have emboldened criminals. The last true tax break for California property owners was Proposition 13, passed forty years ago in 1978. Californians now pay the nations highest income and sales taxes, and relief is long overdue |

For a company that offers a range of different caliber and size options that fit pretty much every conceivable niche in the firearm world, Glock went without a .380 ACP offering for quite some time. That absence was remedied in 2014 when Glock launched the G42, which is officially the smallest handgun offered in the companys extensive lineup and is also the only .380 ACP Glock offers. |

Anti-gun Washington State Gov. Jay Inslee, a Democrat recently rumored to be eyeballing a possible run for the White House in 2020, has politicized and probably alienated a large segment of Evergreen State law enforcement by deciding to end the tradition of signing certificates for the Governors 20 police marksmanship competition.
In letters to a member-at-large of the Washington State Police Pistol Association this past May, and more recently to a constituent, the explanation for Inslees decision was crystal clear. The letters were signed by Inslees communications director, Jaime Smith. |

Ten Oregon counties, including Douglas County, will have the chance to defend the right to keep and bear arms in the general election on Nov. 6.
County voters have the opportunity to vote for a new ordinance, Measure 10-165, the Second Amendment Preservation Ordinance. It will establish further protections for the rights of law-abiding citizens. The new law will authorize the county sheriff to use his discretionary powers to prioritize the use of his departments resources in the enforcement of state and federal firearm laws that infringe on the rights enumerated in the Second Amendment. |

On Thursday, the nation witnessed what happens when a man of principle, integrity, and dignity clashes with Washington, D.C.s political hit machine. U.S. Circuit Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh presented a scorching defense of his record and his character after Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee sprung last-minute accusations to try to derail what seemed like Kavanaughs likely confirmation to the U.S. Supreme Court. Now, your U.S. Senators need to hear from YOU to ensure he is seated on the nations highest court when it begins its next session in October. |
