The soft point boat tail (SP-BT) is a relatively popular, no-frills style bullet primarily used in rifle ammunition for long-range shooting. Many F-Class competitive shooters still use this style of bullet, as it is a proven performer. With the variety of match-grade ammo on the market, there is likely a load that will perform admirably in your rifle. |

Gimmick guns have a unique feature as their primary selling point, but little if any practical purpose for the civilian. People who own them or like them for whatever reason then try to come up with practical reasons for owning them, when they should just fess up and say they bought it because they thought it was cool.

A New York City police detective who monitored sex offenders was arrested Friday on sex-abuse charges involving a 12-year-old girl.
Detective Juan Jimenez, 37, allegedly groped and tried to kiss his daughters friend inside his Brooklyn apartment building, the New York Post reported, citing police.
According to court documents, Jimenez grabbed the child by the waist and "attempted to kiss (the girl) about the mouth and grabbed (her) buttocks with (her) hands." The girl reported the alleged incident and officials launched an investigation, police said.
A Brooklyn Criminal Court judge ordered Jimenez released without bail Friday evening.

You may be asking yourself, who's Steinel Ammunition? Never heard of them? Us either. But you might know them as X-caliber ammunition. When we first reached out to Steinel Ammunition is was because of their new 500 Auto Max rounds. Yes, we will be testing that round soon. Originally they sent us the 500 auto max as well as some .308 and .223. When we started setting up for testing 10mm, they sent us some of that. And that's what I will be talking about in this article. |

There comes a point during every American gun-control debate at which the side calling for draconian restrictions gives up on arguing the specifics or proposing detailed legislative change and rushes stupidly to deceit. Often, this rush involves the frustrated and farcical insistence that the U.S. Constitution does not, in fact, protect an individual right to bear arms. On other occasions, it involves the attempt to destroy the reputation of the Second Amendment by granting that, while the provision may protect the private ownership of guns in some form, it was nevertheless designed for ugly or base reasons, and that it is therefore tainted.

An initiated act to let state colleges and universities decide whether to allow concealed carry firearms on campus is likely to go to the 2020 ballot, an organizer of several successful ballot initiatives told a crowd of about 150 people Saturday. "People are polling over it, and if those polls show what we expect then there will be a guns-on-campus initiated act to return local control to each college and university," said David Couch of Little Rock. He spoke to the crowd at the Little Flock picnic, an annual fundraiser and rally of the Democratic Party of Benton County. |

The state's 22nd District Agricultural Association Board of Directors, which oversees events at the fairgrounds, voted last September to suspend all future gun shows amid pressure from local residents and gun control activists. The fairgrounds hosted the last Crossroads of the West show Dec. 8 and 9 last year. |

One of the most produced firearms of World War II was the British Sten Mk II machine carbine. While the Americans called the Thompson and M3 grease gun submachine guns, the British settled on the term machine carbine, so we will use it here. More than 4 million Sten guns were made during World War II, with the most common version being the Mk II. Invented by Harold Turpin and Major Reginald Shepherd, you combine their initials with the first two letters of Enfield (Royal Small Arms Factory Enfield), and you get S-T-E-N.
The Sten was a simple blowback-operated submachine gun that fired from an open bolt, and it was fed by a 32-round detachable box magazine from the left side. |

To inspire all citizens to value law enforcement: that is the vision statement of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, which supports the memorial to fallen law enforcement officers in Washington, D.C. When I served as a prosecutor in Des Moines, Iowa and ultimately served as the acting attorney general of the United States, I viewed firsthand the professionalism and dedication of police officers and sheriffs deputies across the country. I repeatedly shared with them how the U.S. Department of Justice has their back and they have the thanks of a grateful nation. |
