Does this gun make me look fat?
For decades, women have had few choices when it comes to the clothing they can wear to hide that theyre carrying a firearm. They could wear baggy T-shirts or coats, or put it in a purse and hope it didnt get swiped or that they didnt have trouble getting it out in an emergency.
Enter holsters, corsets, camisoles and other clothing designed to be flattering, feminine - and functional - for the pistol-packin mama crowd.

Ive been told by people I respect that .44 Magnum is too much gun for self-defense, both in terms of being able to control it for fast follow-up shots, and for a tendency to grossly overpenetrate, which suggests that much of the energy carried by the bullet is wasted.

After seeing this video, I think Ill pass on getting shot with it all the same, especially after it seemingly cause some sort of detonation within the block as the temporary stretch cavity collapsed which jetted a stream of burnt gasses and material out the front of the block.

The Buhl city code currently states that you cant fire your firearm in city limits unless you are a police officer acting in the line of duty. Thats fine except there is NO EXCEPTION made for citizens acting in self-defense.

The council is trying to claim that Idaho law will override their ordinance in a situation where someone used self-defense.

The problem isnt that their ordinance would fail. The problem is that their ordinance, as written, violates state law!

In late February 2016 I was arrested along a stretch of a highway in Southlake, Texas for refusing to provide the proper permit to an officer of the law while open carrying my pistol. I was later charged with one count of unlawful carrying of a weapon which is a class A misdemeanor and carries up to two years in jail. Today im happy to report that all charges against me have been dismissed.

That got me thinking and this might not sound good, but I know that truth isnt always rosy I believe the 2nd as the FOUNDERS created it has been dead for a long time.

...

Think about it, there is no place in the country where the right to keep and bear arms is unrestricted by government laws or regulations. Even where it appears to be somewhat, or mostly unrestricted, its only for a narrow category of firearms. Since 1934, there have been a LOT of unconstitutional restrictions on the books, and I dont think enough people are aware of them at all.

We take the pure constitutional view that they have ZERO constitutional authority to create any gun control measures (laws, regulations, executive orders, rules, etc).

Do you like to hunt or shoot? If so, hang onto your wallet, because ammunition could soon become prohibitively expensive if some Democrat lawmakers get their way.

An Illinois state representative wants to impose a scheme thats not only been proven to be a multi-million-dollar failure at solving crimes, but could also make ammunition unaffordable for honest citizens, while leaving criminalswho make millions dealing drugs, guns and (if this legislation is passed) ammunitionuntouched.

And dont just shrug if you dont live in Illinois: As Fox News reports, similar bills are pending in at least 20 states.

A razor's edge split the en banc Third Circuit Wednesday in supporting the right for felons to bear arms, fueling predictions of a Supreme Court battle.

The consolidated dates appeals of convicted felons Daniel Binderup and Julio Suarez produced five opinions, clocking in all together at 174 pages.

Binderup and Suarez persuaded the plurality that the nature and age of their convictions should exempt them from the prohibition on felons owning firearms, codified in Section 922(g)(1) of Title 18.

Having experienced a few hunting situations that required fast shots on uncooperative four-legged targetsincluding firing an AR from a fast-angling helicopter on fleeing hogsI can testify that having extra ammunition at the ready is more than just a convenience. Any hunter or home defender who has several spare loaded magazines in close proximity to the rifle and to his hands has, like his military counterpart, an advantage in minimizing the time and movements required to recharge a magazine-fed rifle.

On the campaign trail, Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump recently referenced the increasing violence in Chicago, which reached an infamous milestone this summer: the most violent August the city has seen in 20 years.

Chicago Police Department reported 90 homicides, 384 shooting incidents and 472 shooting victims in August. Trump said in an Aug. 22 interview on Fox News that if police were much tougher, the problem could be solved in a week. Others, including the citys archbishop, have suggested theres a different way to combat the violence in Chicago and elsewhere.

Websters Dictionary defines a monopoly as something having exclusive control or possession of a particular good, service, or market. Sadly, this is what gun-control legislation creates a monopoly for criminals and the corresponding increase in gun violence.

While well-meaning people on both sides of the aisle want to stop the shooting deaths on our streets, infringing on our Second Amendment rights has only caused the opposite. When you take firearms from the good guy (the law-abiding citizen) and give them to the bad guys (criminals), you give exclusive control to them by creating illegal gun traffic.

It seems to be an endless cycle in Louisville: police at a murder scene, followed by vigils and peace walks and more gunfire.

The surge in gun violence has Mayor Greg Fischer looking anywhere for answers, including Frankfort.

I think we should have local control on a lot of issues, and gun safety is one of those things, Fischer told WDRB in an interview Thursday.

Fischer says he'll push for legislation allowing cities such as Louisville to pass their own gun control or gun safety laws.

According to a source on the Senate Judiciary Committee, when Obama was elected, only the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, which covers California and several other western states, was blue, meaning it had a majority of Democrat-appointed judges. Today, after nearly eight years of Obama, nine of the 13 circuits are blue, and after just four years of a Hillary Clinton administration, all 13 would likely be blue.

In a state already known for some of the nations strictest gun controls, some San Jose officials are pushing the city to go further with a proposed law that would toughen requirements for securing firearms, reporting their theft and monitoring ammunition sales.

If approved by the City Council, the law would put San Jose among Sunnyvale, Oakland and San Francisco as cities that have adopted local gun control laws and drawn fire from gun-rights groups.

I dont want to wait for a massive tragedy, said Councilman Ash Kalra, who proposed the gun safety ordinance along with Councilman Raul Peralez, a former police officer. I want us to do something now to get illegal guns off the street.

As the Nov. 8 election draws nearer, the battle is heating up for the votes of Nevada and Maine residents concerning restrictive anti-gun ballot initiatives being considered in both states.

In Nevada, gun-control advocates are pushing Question 1, an initiative that would punish law-abiding gun owners but have no effect on criminals or violent crime. A yes vote on Question 1 supports requiring all firearm transfers to take place through the agency of a licensed dealer, with both parties present and a background check conducted. Note that this applies to all transfers, not just salesmeaning a Nevada resident wouldnt be able to gift a treasured heirloom gun to a child without getting an FFL holder involved.

A recent article published by Voice of America Khmer holds that Cambodians are shocked at mass killings in the United States, and have some words of wisdom.

What Cambodians find difficult to understand is why America the most powerful and wealthiest country in the world is unable to solve its own gun problems, and the mass shootings that occur with devastating regularity, opens the piece, without noting that the homicide rate in the U.S. has been trending downward for decades and the 2014 statistics, the latest currently available, show the lowest murder rate recorded since 1963.

Across the United States, poll after poll shows strong support by American citizens for expanding background checks for gun purchases. At the statewide general election on Nov. 8, Maine voters will have a chance to weigh in on just such a proposal.

Question 3 on the referendum ballot will ask whether Maine should require background checks prior to the sale or transfer of firearms between individuals not licensed as firearms dealers. Exceptions would be made for transfers between family members, transfers while the parties involved are hunting or sport shooting, transfers for emergency self-defense and transfers of antique firearms or firearms that are curios or relics.
