The fever-pitch national hysteria over gun rights ahead of the Nov. 8 presidential elections has all but disappeared now that Donald Trump is president. In terms of federal action directly affecting Second Amendment rights, nothing has changed since President Barack Obama's departure. The absence of an easily identifiable demon in Washington has frustrated gun makers and their top lobbyists. |

PROJECTION, the fear mongering comes from the anti-gun lobby. Because they use baseless 'facts' to further their agenda. |

I fully expect President Trump will be good for 2A rights.
I have absolutly no idea how horrible the NEXT president of the United States will be for gun rights.
Stay frosty ...."keep your powder dry." |

"At some point, the American public will realize that the existence of 265 million firearms in the hands of gun owners is more than adequate to demonstrate the gun lobby's grip on power."
The American public has already realized that the existence of 256 million firearms in their hands is more than adequate to demonstrate THEIR OWN grip on power.
If that makes you nervous, butch up. |

The fear was real. Attacks on law abiding gun owners is real and continues from the likes of Bloomberg, amd liberal news meadia and politicians. It is only recently that new firearms legislation is not all focused on anti gun proposals. |

TO REMEMBER |
As civil rulers, not having their duty to the people before them, may attempt to tyrannize, and as the military forces which must be occasionally raised to defend our country, might pervert their power to the injury of their fellow citizens, the people are confirmed by the article in their right to keep and bear their private arms. Tench Coxe in `Remarks on the First Part of the Amendments to the Federal Constitution' under the Pseudonym "A Pennsylvanian" in the Philadelphia Federal Gazette, June 18, 1789 at 2 col. 1. |
