"As a lover of ancient rock art, Steve Acerson usually roams Utahs backcountry searching for images of hunters and rams carved on boulders and canyon walls. But one morning, on a hillside speckled with those prehistoric petroglyphs, he was also finding signs of a younger civilization: Shotgun shells. Bullets. Shredded juniper trees. Exploded cans of spray paint."

"'Its all been shot,' he said. 'Its just destroying everything.'"

"Americas cultural divide over guns has gone into the woods. As growing numbers of hikers and backpackers flood national forests and backcountry trails searching for solitude, they are increasingly clashing with recreational target shooters, out for the weekend to plug rounds into trees, targets and mountainsides." ...

All the laws & regulations necessary for the control of recreational shooting on public land are already in place.
Rather than looking to introduce greater restrictions, the aim should be education.
Teaching people safe & environmentally clean shooting should be the priority but I guess that doesn't fit in with the hoplophobes' predetermined agenda.

a culture clash again caused by liberal democrat gun control policies that forces people to have to go to the "back country" just to shoot....

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
No one can read our Constitution without concluding that the people who wrote it wanted their government severely limited; the words "no" and "not" employed in restraint of government power occur 24 times in the first seven articles of the Constitution and 22 more times in the Bill of Rights. EDMUND A. OPITZ
