1st milestone victory!
Judge Refuses AOL's Motion to Dismiss

by Luke Hansen
[email protected]

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Our fight, and your support has paid off today, in our first victory (I consider it major).

"A judge in Weber County's 2nd District Court has refused a request by America Online to dismiss a lawsuit filed by three former employees of its Ogden call center who were fired for possessing guns in the company's parking lot. Judge Roger S. Dutson said too many questions regarding the termination of Luke Hansen, Paul Carlson and Jason Melling remain for him to grant the request filed by the nation's largest Internet service provider."

You can see the whole article today at: http://www.sltrib.com/2001/jan/01142001/utah/62435.htm  (Please note, the Tribune has a habit of misinterpreting this story, it is not mainly about Concealed Weapons permits as the story implies. It is about Firearms in general, in a parking lot. Not in the "workplace". CCW etc. is a secondary facet of this case.)

Thank you all so very much,

Luke, Paul and Jason
