What I'd like to see happen

by Melissa
[email protected]

You asked, in your 5-Minute Activist Step for October 17, how I would like the war on guns to turn out. Here is my answer:

I WOULD LIKE TO SEE ALL WEAPONS RESTRICTIONS ERADICATED.

You then asked for three things I could do, that I am not doing now, to reach this goal. This is a more difficult question to answer, because I am doing all that I can think of and that I am physically able to do. Still, here are three things to do that I consider to be most important:

1. Let my elected officials know how I want them to vote on upcoming issues (including, when it comes up, voting for officials that will help strengthen the United States Constitution and Bill of Rights!).

(a) I use the free auto-fax at "Gun Owners of America" on a regular basis to contact my state and federal officials: http://www.gunowners.org/activism.htm

(b) I get the latest issues that will be coming up for their vote from "The Liberty Committee":
http://www.thelibertycommittee.org

2. I get involved with my state grassroots organization. In my case, this is "GrassRoots South Carolina" http://www.scfirearms.org

3. I tell people what is going on in this country and try to recruit new members for my state and national pro-gun organizations (like GrassRoots and KeepAndBearArms!)

Love and Liberty,
