Although this message is from UTGOA and refers to Utah's "bad"
grade from gun-haters, we're safe in saying: the lower the grade with HCI
(Helping Criminals Invade), the better your state is doing. ~~KABA
Utah Gun Owners Alliance is proud to announce that Handgun Control, Inc. (HCI)
thinks things are getting worse in Utah - which means they're really getting
better! Although Utah Gun Owners
Alliance has been operating for less than a year, Utah's rating has already
dropped from a D to a D-. We got a special "demerit" for passing Rep.
Throckmorton's bill prohibiting government entities from suing firearms
manufacturers. This is good news indeed!
The report is at
http://www.handguncontrol.org/stateleg/reportcard2k.asp
However, many of our neighbors are doing much better than we are. Wyoming and
Montana have "F" ratings, and Idaho has an F+. Utah still has a large
number of abusive, anti-gun laws that we need to repeal.
Children do not need to be "protected from guns". They need to be
protected from criminals - and they need to learn firearms safety. As we
reported in our last alert, when firearms are rendered useless for self-defense,
children are left at the mercy of vicious criminals. Should their lives, and the
lives of the 2.5 million Americans who use firearms for lawful self-defense each
year, be sacrificed to HCI's anti-gun fanatics?
With your help and support, we can achieve an F, or even an F-, next year.
But more important than a silly grade from HCI, we'll achieve liberty,
decrease crime, and regain the right and the ability to defend ourselves and our
families.
